Physician, Primary Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our team at Ascension St. John in Tulsa, OK. As a primary care physician, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. You will also coordinate discharge planning with case management and participate in efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills
- Coordinate discharge planning with case management
- Participate in efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients
- Accept patient referrals from other physicians
- Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses
- Participate in academic programs, such as medical education and research
- Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty
- Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision
- Advanced Life Support preferred
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
