Position Overview:

This role operates in a hybrid environment, requiring onsite presence for a significant portion of the week. The project manager will also need to be prepared for travel to client locations as necessary.

The project manager is responsible for the oversight and orchestration of planning and executing software implementations and migrations of varying complexity. In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with team members to ensure projects are completed successfully and on schedule. You will engage with both internal and external teams, utilizing industry-standard methodologies and tools. A crucial aspect of this role is to ensure that high-priority issues are escalated in a timely manner and that communication remains effective. The ideal candidate will also take on additional enterprise-wide projects as required, playing a vital role in the successful delivery of our initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accountability across core and extended teams.
  • Facilitate project-related activities for both internal and client-facing initiatives.
  • Establish a regular meeting schedule, communication strategy, and operational norms among teams.
  • Report and escalate issues to management as necessary to guarantee project success.
  • Manage relationships with clients, internal teams, and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and lead meetings, including weekly status updates.
  • Align efforts between internal teams and clients to ensure timely completion of project tasks within budget and scope.
  • Gather stakeholder feedback, develop and maintain project plans, and prepare agendas for senior leadership discussions, ensuring team accountability.
  • Identify, document, and monitor project risks, actions, and issues.
  • Regularly assess project dependencies and risks to ensure effective management across stakeholder groups.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute comprehensive project documentation.
  • Define business cases based on stakeholder input, securing agreement on objectives, scope, timing, and resources.
  • Plan and oversee activities that will achieve desired outcomes while monitoring daily progress toward goals.
  • Collaborate with all teams to ensure smooth transitions between project phases and implementation/support teams.
  • Lead client-facing meetings to clearly communicate objectives, plans, statuses, and results, focusing on key points.
  • Conduct project closure activities, including identifying lessons learned and best practices to enhance future projects. Implement continuous improvement methodologies throughout the project management lifecycle.
  • Interact professionally with all levels of management, employees, and clients through various communication channels. Provide mentorship to junior staff as needed.
  • Champion your projects, adapting to and addressing unique challenges in innovative and collaborative ways.
  • Manage a portfolio of multiple projects with broad organizational impact, including complex, high-budget, high-visibility initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • In addition to project management duties, may also engage in tasks defined within project roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years of demonstrated experience as a project manager in software development and/or information technology.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., LAN Desk, Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst is highly preferred.
  • Exhibit advanced communication skills (both verbal and written), attention to detail, organizational abilities, analytical thinking, and team-building capabilities.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, customer service, presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise judgment in balancing process compliance with achieving business objectives.
  • Background in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or web technologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
