THE POSITION
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager to set performance targets across the profit and loss statement, including revenue and expenses, and assist teams in achieving their goals. You will be a vital member of the Sportsbook Commercial team, collaborating with various departments, including Marketing, Product, Data Science, Research & Technology, and Customer Service. This role is highly visible and impactful, involving regular interactions with the executive team.
THE GAME PLAN
Every team member plays a crucial role:
- Oversee the Online Sportsbook quarterly forecasting processes, aiding teams in establishing ambitious yet attainable targets across the profit and loss statement.
- Serve as the authoritative source for the Online Sportsbook business's health, utilizing data to generate actionable insights that enhance business performance.
- Review and guide the development of our reporting suite to effectively meet stakeholder needs and establish business priorities.
- Establish a competitive intelligence unit that aggregates and analyzes revenue, product, marketing, and commercial data to inform strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Acquisition Strategy and Planning team to set targets, generate insights, enhance reporting, and develop analytics infrastructure to support decision-making.
- Plan and prioritize data product roadmaps for the Sportsbook Business Unit.
- Implement improvements to Sportsbook Business Unit processes through automation.
- Lead a team of analysts to produce insights and identify drivers of business performance.
- Manage daily requests and tasks for your direct reports.
- Provide coaching and professional development for analysts on your team.
- Identify and nurture top talent within the analytics team.
We are looking for our next teammate to possess:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in an analytical, technical, or commercial field, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline (Math, Statistics, Economics, etc.) or equivalent experience in data and/or business analysis.
- Proficiency in SQL and Excel is essential.
- Experience with analytical programming languages such as Python, R, or Spark is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to use data visualization tools to present analysis in an easily digestible format, with preferred experience in Tableau.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of sports and/or experience in a heavily regulated industry is advantageous.
