Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vertex AI Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Irvine, TX. As a key member of our AI solutions team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models using Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Machine Learning Models: Utilize Vertex AI to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that drive business value and improve operational efficiency.
  • Integrate with Google Cloud Services: Integrate Vertex AI with other Google Cloud services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow to create seamless and efficient workflows.
  • Implement AutoML Capabilities: Leverage AutoML capabilities to create high-quality models with minimal manual effort, reducing the time and cost associated with traditional machine learning development.
  • Develop Custom Training Pipelines: Develop custom training pipelines for complex machine learning tasks using frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch, enabling the creation of sophisticated models that drive business outcomes.
  • Implement and Manage Vertex AI Pipelines: Design and implement Vertex AI pipelines for orchestrating end-to-end machine learning workflows, ensuring efficient and scalable model deployment.
  • Monitor and Optimize Model Performance: Continuously monitor and optimize model performance post-deployment, ensuring models remain accurate and efficient over time.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective AI solutions.
  • Perform Hyperparameter Tuning: Perform hyperparameter tuning to enhance model performance and drive business value.
  • Utilize Vertex AI Feature Store: Utilize Vertex AI Feature Store for feature management and reuse, enabling the creation of high-quality models that drive business outcomes.
  • Conduct Online and Batch Predictions: Conduct online and batch predictions using Vertex AI prediction services, enabling real-time decision-making and business optimization.
  • Adhere to MLOps Best Practices: Adhere to MLOps best practices for model versioning, deployment, and lifecycle management, ensuring efficient and scalable model deployment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Machine Learning Experience: Proven experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
  • Google Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, specifically Vertex AI.
  • Programming Skills: Strong programming skills in Python or a similar language.
  • Data Processing Tools: Familiarity with data processing tools like Apache Beam, Dataflow, or similar.
  • Machine Learning Algorithms: Understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
  • AutoML Experience: Experience with AutoML tools and techniques.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer certification, experience with MLOps tools and practices, familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker for containerization and orchestration, and knowledge of big data technologies like BigQuery, Spark, and Hadoop.
