The Collision Parts Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting collision technicians and estimators by ensuring the accurate sourcing and distribution of parts for vehicles undergoing repairs at our collision center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support collision center estimators in obtaining the necessary and correct parts for vehicles in progress.
  • Facilitate the distribution of parts to body technicians to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure all parts are accurately charged and linked to the collision management system for billing purposes.
  • Inspect each received part for accuracy and damage.
  • Return all unused parts within 30 days of receipt and stay updated on new products and product updates.
  • Determine availability and provide necessary information for out-of-stock parts, securing approval for special or emergency orders from the Collision Manager.
  • Coordinate with sublet vendors and services to expedite workflow.
  • Ensure all received parts are labeled with the appropriate RO number, technician, and estimator names.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department, demonstrating good housekeeping practices.
  • Gather time requirements from technicians and estimators to meet customer timelines for vehicle deliveries.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Two years of prior experience in parts coordination.
  • Proficient in 10-Key and/or Alpha-Numeric data entry, with the ability to utilize a computer for parts entry and linking in the accounting system.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information effectively.
  • Valid in-state driver's license with a safe driving record.
