The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in overseeing large residential communities, managing all operational facets, addressing client expectations, and resolving complex issues such as fiduciary responsibilities, facility enhancements, and maintenance coordination. Familiarity with HUD and MassHousing requirements is essential, along with the capability to lead staff and coordinate with vendors. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with staff, residents, vendors, and relevant agencies.
- Inspire and motivate staff through positive reinforcement and exemplary leadership to ensure exceptional performance.
- Negotiate and coordinate service contracts essential for property operations.
- Ensure timely submission of required reports to clients, management, and applicable agencies.
- Formulate and implement marketing strategies to achieve optimal occupancy levels.
- Facilitate resident programs that enhance community engagement.
- Prepare and oversee operating and capital budgets effectively.
- Prioritize and schedule routine, preventative, and emergency maintenance tasks.
- Enforce adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and best practices.
- Understand and comply with Fair Housing laws and standards.
- Participate in training sessions as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Yardi, or similar property management software is required.
Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: A four-year college degree is preferred, along with industry certifications and 3-5 years of property management experience; experience in affordable housing is advantageous.
- Skills: Ability to supervise employees, contractors, and vendors effectively.
- Attributes: Must be organized, efficient, capable of prioritizing tasks, and possess excellent follow-up and communication skills.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with property management software is essential.
- Experience with affordable housing is a plus.
