Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at The Medical Center of Aurora. This role will support the mission of optimizing quality of life for patients and their families by providing expert care and coordination in oncology and palliative care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical oversight and leadership to the Oncology staff, including education and mentorship.
  • Coordinate care for patients and families, including patient/family conferences and referrals to palliative care services.
  • Develop and implement care plans that expedite treatment, reduce patient anxiety, and match patient needs with appropriate healthcare resources.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure completion of projects and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • RN license in the State of Colorado (compact license acceptable with Colorado RN license obtained within 90 days of hire).
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
  • Certification in Palliative Care (OCN or CHPN required).
  • Minimum 5 years of recent clinical nursing experience in oncology services and 5 years of leadership experience.
