Position: DFC Loan Processing Specialist I

The DFC Loan Processing Specialist I collaborates with Lithia dealerships to ensure that every loan submission adheres to DFC standards within specified timelines. This role involves verifying employment and insurance for loan collateral, meticulously documenting all actions taken within the Loan Origination System (LOS), mitigating risks by identifying potential fraudulent activities, and delivering exceptional service through phone and email communications with dealerships and borrowers.

Location: Hybrid

Compensation: $21/hr - $22/hr

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess new loan packages within one business day and promptly communicate any funding delays through appropriate channels.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all interactions with dealers, borrowers, and internal communications.
  • Conduct employer and insurance verifications, as well as initiate welcome calls to borrowers.
  • Consistently meet processing performance metrics, including timely responses to dealer correspondence.
  • Effectively manage escalated cases and maintain professional communication with dealers.
  • Foster positive relationships with dealers and underwriters.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Windows, etc.).
  • Prior experience in loan processing is preferred.
