Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse at the Cleveland Clinic, you will provide direct nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. You will assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure well-coordinated patient care. Your responsibilities will include administering medications, performing various medical procedures, and maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care. You will also be responsible for educating patients and their families on health-related topics and promoting healthy behaviors. Additionally, you will participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient care.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) for Critical Care areas
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) for Children's Hospital and Children's Hospital for Rehabilitation
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Vascular Access Registered Nurse (VARN) program attendance and certification as Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) or Vascular Access Board Certified (VA-BC)
Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience for SNF care settings
Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or rehab experience for rehab care settings
Minimum one year current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience for ED settings
Will consider licensed military RN experience

Physical Requirements

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Personal Protective Equipment

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
