We're committed to building world-class applied science and engineering teams on top of industry-leading data and AI/ML capabilities. The Vice President, Platform Operations will lead and optimize our Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence platform operations.

This executive will report into the Senior Vice President, Head of Machine Learning Experience in our engineering organization. As a member of our leadership team within Enterprise Data Machine Learning, you'll be responsible for leading, coaching, and mentoring engineers who value diverse perspectives and foster collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set the roadmap and oversee daily management of AI and ML platforms, including strategy development, container management in public cloud (AWS), cloud resource provisioning, low latency, high availability, cloud optimization, etc.
  • Maintain deep technical understanding of platform aspects, such as infrastructure, algorithms, APIs, and integrations, providing operations leadership to engineering and production teams.
  • Implement robust processes and operational dashboards to monitor platform performance, user feedback, SLAs, observability, resiliency, and key operational metrics in real-time.
  • Collaborate with cyber, technology risk management, security, and compliance teams to understand company requirements, working closely with product and engineering to adhere to industry best practices, corporate standards, and regulatory demands.
  • Implement automation and visualization tools to track vulnerabilities, platform incidents, cloud controls compliance, cloud resource utilization, enabling proactive decision-making and risk mitigation.
  • Work closely with executive leadership and stakeholders to develop a long-term vision and roadmap for platform operations enhancements.
  • Builid a high-performing operations team, recruiting world-class SREs, production engineers, data engineers, grooming, and retaining talent on the team.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 9 years of experience managing platform, infrastructure operations or Site Reliability Engineering
  • At least 5 years' experience with public cloud technologies
Estimated Salary:$321,500 - $366,900 per year
