Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Float Pool team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient examinations and treatments under the direction of a provider.
  • Perform select clinical duties, including vital sign measurements and charting.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Assist with basic clerical duties, such as answering phones and maintaining records.
  • Perform basic materials management functions, including ordering and stocking supplies.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Certified Medical Assistant certification within 3 months of hire date.
  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
