Job Overview

The Business Analyst will engage closely with the project manager, project team, and relevant stakeholders to:

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Gather and define requirements for the Unified Scholarship Application system through various methods including interviews, document reviews, workshops, and business process analysis.
  2. Assess information collected from diverse sources to resolve conflicts in requirements, break down high-level requirements into detailed specifications, and differentiate user requests from actual needs.
  3. Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to analyze functional requirements and produce necessary documentation in line with the State's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  4. Apply industry best practices, including the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK), in the management and definition of requirements.
  5. Document requirements adhering to established industry standards.
  6. Examine current system functionalities to identify areas for enhancement and recommend changes in anticipation of significant system updates.
  7. Identify existing issues to propose new procedures and controls.
  8. Prepare and present milestone status reports and system concept presentations to colleagues and stakeholders.
  9. Create comprehensive user guides and specifications for both functional and non-functional requirements of current and future systems.
  10. Develop and maintain testing plans, cases, and scripts.
  11. Conduct functional testing prior to the user acceptance testing (UAT) phase.
