Position Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Clinical Laboratory Technologist with experience in Blood Bank operations to support our Blood Bank Department. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology, or meet local regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate specimen acceptability for testing based on established criteria.
2. Execute routine and complex technical procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
3. Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure optimal functionality.
4. Make informed technical decisions regarding testing and problem resolution.
5. Prepare, assess, and validate new reagents or controls.
6. Deliver accurate and timely test results to enhance patient care quality.
7. Conduct preventive maintenance and quality control procedures, documenting as necessary.
8. Manage and replenish testing supplies as needed.
9. Assist with specimen processing when required.

Work Environment:
Maintain a safe laboratory environment and adhere to personal protective equipment protocols.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent local regulatory qualifications.
2. Minimum of 2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
3. Proficient in computer use; familiarity with laboratory information systems is advantageous.
4. Strong attention to detail along with excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Ability to pass a standardized color vision screening.
6. Flexibility to work overtime or adjust shifts based on business needs.
