Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining professionalism and responsiveness to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Understand and adhere to program requirements, including documentation and payer guidelines.
- Embrace recovery principles and encourage all staff to support individuals in reaching their potential.
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans, including monitoring and discharge processes.
- Evaluate and address co-occurring medical and substance use disorders.
- Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring informed consent is obtained.
- Provide medical consultations and necessary referrals.
- Oversee treatment planning and ensure compliance with medical necessity standards.
- Conduct and interpret AIMS testing as needed.
- Engage with clients to monitor their health and well-being.
- Document all interactions with clients promptly and accurately, ensuring compliance with medical necessity requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date training and credentialing as required for the position.
- Participate in peer review processes and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to high standards of health and safety in all work environments.
- Assist clients in completing necessary documentation for entitlement benefits and other support services.
Expected Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
- Availability for one holiday coverage per year
Qualifications
- Valid Physician's License (MD or DO) in the State of Michigan and DEA Number
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry or Child Psychiatry (if working with minors)
- Maintain active professional licensure without any disciplinary actions throughout employment
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as per company policy
