Job Summary:
As a Patient Financial Advocate at Intermountain Health, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, ensuring a positive experience throughout the healthcare journey. Your expertise in patient registration, billing, and financial services will make a meaningful impact on our patients' lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Register patients and confirm demographic data with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations and referrals.
  • Process non-covered services and waivers of liability, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collect patient payments and provide accurate receipts, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Document patient account notes and maintain departmental reports, ensuring seamless communication with clinical teams.
  • Escalate account issues and provide exceptional customer service, resolving inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Meet departmental productivity and quality standards, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual Spanish speaker/writer and customer service experience.

Physical Requirements:
Manual dexterity, hearing, seeing, speaking.

Compensation:
