Patient Financial Advocate

As a Patient Financial Advocate at Intermountain Health, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, ensuring a positive experience throughout the healthcare journey. Your expertise in patient registration, billing, and financial services will make a meaningful impact on our patients' lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Register patients and confirm demographic data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations and referrals.
- Process non-covered services and waivers of liability, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collect patient payments and provide accurate receipts, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Document patient account notes and maintain departmental reports, ensuring seamless communication with clinical teams.
- Escalate account issues and provide exceptional customer service, resolving inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
- Meet departmental productivity and quality standards, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual Spanish speaker/writer and customer service experience.
