LPN ICU Nurse Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our ICU Step Down unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Director of Nursing, you will utilize your nursing skills and knowledge to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of our patients.

You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and provide exceptional patient care. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of patients
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and provide exceptional patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited LPN program
  • Current LPN licensure in the state of Maryland
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
