The HT Group is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the full cycle design and development process for both new products and expansions of current product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize SolidWorks to create engineering drawings, models, and assemblies.
  • Organize and maintain drawing vault, revisions, and SolidWorks original documents.
  • Evaluate initial article samples and establish testing protocols for production validation.
  • Collaborate with production team to address issues, enhance products, and streamline production processes.
  • Analyze defective parts to propose improvements for existing products.
  • Define testing needs for new products and analyze test results.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure adherence to key design requirements and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Assess new vehicle platforms for opportunities to develop improved aftermarket drivetrain solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to co-develop new products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of design experience for manufactured products required.
  • SolidWorks and/or 3D Solid modeling experience required.
  • Product development experience within automotive aftermarket industry.
  • Experience in sheet metal design, bracketry, and weldments strongly preferred.
  • Experience with QA/QC inspection equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical drafting standards, ANSI standards, and document control.
