We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention Specialist to join our team at AdventHealth East Orlando. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in protecting patients from healthcare-associated infections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Infection Control Audits: Conduct regular audits to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
  • Develop and Implement Infection Prevention Strategies: Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement effective infection prevention strategies, including surveillance, prevention, and control measures.
  • Provide Education and Training: Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection control best practices and protocols.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with healthcare teams to identify and address infection control concerns and develop solutions to prevent future incidents.
  • Monitor and Analyze Infection Data: Monitor and analyze infection data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduate of a school of nursing, medical technology, public health, or another healthcare-related field. Associate's degree with 0 years of experience or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field with at least 1 year of clinical experience.
  • Certification and Licensure: Certification in Infection Control or CIC eligible, highly preferred. Current, valid license as a registered professional nurse, medical technologist, respiratory therapist, or other clinical area.
