Job Title: Shear Wave Technician

Acuren Inspection is seeking a qualified Shear Wave Technician to support our operations in Savannah, GA. As a Shear Wave Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and utilizing non-destructive testing equipment, calibrating equipment, and establishing techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate non-destructive testing equipment to inspect objects under various conditions.
  • Calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Establish and maintain techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, adhering to safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Organize and report test results to management and clients.
  • May perform specialized inspections and instruct and supervise others as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Certified Level II UTSW.
  • Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections.
