Job Summary:

Draper Laboratory is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished technical leader to serve as a Senior Technical Fellow for Complex Systems. This individual will be responsible for driving solutions to complex, multidisciplinary problems with a deep understanding of a customer's strategic priorities. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading large teams, mentoring and building depth for their area of expertise, and cultivating mentorship in others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute technical strategies to address complex customer needs.
  • Lead and manage large teams of engineers and scientists to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with customers to shape their needs and develop requirements for programs that solve their most challenging technical problems.
  • Advise and mentor junior staff on technical matters and provide guidance on career development.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in their field and identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in an applicable engineering discipline, with a PhD preferred.
  • 15-20 years of experience in the engineering design, development, and management of complex systems, including supervising large teams.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to various levels of the engineering organization and customers.
