Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inspector II, Asset Protection to join our team at Liberty Utilities. As a key member of our asset protection team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of our gas system infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct damage investigations and large projects, including coordinating and performing mark-outs as necessary.
  • Inspect the work of third-party excavators, enforcing company procedures regarding safe operation near company gas facilities.
  • Accurately mark gas company facilities before and during construction, and pre-mark for company excavations in accordance with Georgia Dig Laws and Regulations.
  • Perform leak surveys and monitoring of encroachments in conjunction with third-party excavation as necessary, as well as pre- and post-blasting surveys as necessary.
  • Timely and accurately document all field activities.
  • Assist operations supervisors in the follow-up and inspection of potential encroachments.
  • Be a technical resource for junior department personnel.
  • Lead/conduct investigations to reported incidents and record incident investigation reports outlining events of incident.
Requirements
  • High School or GED Equivalent.
  • 3+ years of gas distribution or related industry experience in inspection and/or compliance.
