High Side Technology is seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cybersecurity controls within application modernization projects across the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities- Integrate Information Assurance/Cybersecurity disciplines into system design, development, integration, and implementation.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for application/system design.
- Identify information protection needs and define System Security Requirements.
- Apply security risk assessment methodology to system development.
- Coordinate with the Program Manager to ensure that all information protection requirements for the IS are identified.
- Ensure that the integration of information protection requirements into Information Technology acquisition processes through purposeful security design or configuration and built-in to new IS releases.
- Develop, submit, and maintain the Certification & Accreditation (C&A) package for systems and programs in the developmental and acquisition process.
- Provide evidence and documentation from the IS security engineering process to ensure that the C&A Package meets the information protection requirements for the certification level appropriate for the criticality and the complexity of the IS.
- Ensure that security controls meet or exceed the information protection requirements by conducting information protection effectiveness tests at the end of each stage of the IS security engineering process.
- United States citizenship required
- Top Secret/SCI security clearance or current Top Secret SSBI with TS/SCI eligibility required; may require CI polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related scientific discipline required (master's degree desired)
- 8+ years of experience
- Cyber Security Certifications (CEH, RedHat Certified Engineer, Security +, Microsoft, CISSP)
