Division Chief and Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery

The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida is seeking a candidate to serve as Division Chief and Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery. The successful candidate will join a group of plastic surgeons with a reputation of excellence in patient care and lead the Division's growth in plastic surgery. Responsibilities will include education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows in Plastic Surgery. The Division has a long-standing commitment to both Resident and Fellow education, and the new chief will be actively involved in the integrated and independent residencies. This position will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to the development of an academic career through research, teaching, and clinical practice. Clinical expertise in microsurgery, craniofacial surgery, or breast reconstruction will complement the division's expertise and are desirable.
The Division of Plastic Surgery has been active at the University of Florida since 1963, and boasts a robust practice, which covers the breadth of plastic surgery. The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida is a top 20 NIH funded department with a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education.
Salary and academic rank are negotiable based on education and experience. The successful candidate requires a MD degree or equivalent and board certification in plastic surgery, with a demonstrated commitment to the development of an academic career through research, teaching, and clinical practice.
