Small Engine Mechanic

At National Guard Employment Network, we are seeking a highly skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in repairing and maintaining small engines, as well as experience working with a variety of equipment, including lawnmowers, riding lawnmowers, and utility vehicles.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing small engine problems, as well as providing excellent customer service to our clients.

Responsibilities- Repair and maintain small engines, large lawn equipment, mowers, tillers, and other related vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose small engine problems and clearly explain the diagnosis and repair to customers.
- Continuously seek technical and product training to improve skills and knowledge.
- Monitor work to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Observe all safety and security procedures and report any potential hazards.
- Treat management and other employees with respect and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Must own and maintain own tools.
- Basic computer skills.
- Have and maintain a clean driving record.
- Ability to assemble and perform maintenance functions.
- Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Able to work a varying schedule and be flexible to respond to after-hour calls.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- A minimum of 2-3 years experience as a mechanic working on small engines, diesel, and gas engines, and small hand-held components.
- Experience with John Deere equipment.

Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, and bend as needed.
