Job Summary

We are seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join our team in Greenwood Village. As a Civil Design Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers and consultants to provide engineering solutions and advice to clients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in engineering analysis, design, field inspections, writing reports, and preparing permit applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic calculations based on assignment, including hydraulic calculations, traffic projections, piling or rebar calculations, and calculations to balance site earthwork.
  • Assist in designing water and sewer systems for smaller private and larger municipal systems.
  • Assist with grading and stormwater designs for commercial, industrial, and residential site plans.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Work as part of a project team to support the execution of consulting projects.
  • Assist with documenting design decisions and instructions from clients while monitoring project design progress.
  • Analyze low to medium complexity engineering tasks and propose innovative solutions.
  • Participate in IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in civil engineering.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent required.
  • Prior internship experience in the building design consulting industry preferred.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) License preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
