Job Title: Civil Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team at Kleinfelder. As a key member of our Design Services group, you will be responsible for creating innovative and effective civil engineering designs that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop civil engineering plans and specifications for a variety of projects, including solar site grading and storm drainage, trenchless installation methods, and erosion and sediment control.
  • Evaluate design alternatives to solve constructability, code, and site challenges.
  • Prepare meeting minutes and communicate schedule updates to Project Controls.
  • Perform site visits to perform job scoping and coordinate with survey crews, SUE, Geotech, etc.
  • Review encroacher's design plans for potential conflicts and suggest required accommodations.
Requirements:
  • 4-8 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • 2-3 years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and with team members.
Preferred Skills:
  • Ability to engage in multiple projects to complete successful requirement deliveries.
  • Ability to organize priorities and multi-task effectively.
  • Pro-actively troubleshoot and problem-solve with practical, client-focused solutions.
  • Experience dealing with regulatory agencies.
