Position Details
As an Environmental Services Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of heavy cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other designated areas. Your role will include:

  • Executing cleaning and floor refinishing tasks in accordance with established protocols to meet quality standards.
  • Operating various floor care equipment and utilizing necessary tools, products, and supplies.
  • Gathering and disposing of trash and waste materials efficiently.
  • Managing linen distribution and organizing the linen room.
  • Restocking housekeeping supplies and maintaining cleanliness in designated storage areas.

Key Responsibilities
Your daily activities will involve:

  • Dust mopping floors and corridors as assigned.
  • Inspecting cleaning equipment and performing scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Participating in patient safety rounds and monitoring for signs of distress.
  • Maintaining hard surface floors by following correct processes for daily and periodic care.
  • Cleaning assigned patient and non-patient areas according to established cleaning procedures.
  • Transporting waste and linen to appropriate collection sites while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum education level of less than High School.
  • For positions requiring driving, a clean driving record and a valid driver's license are essential.
