Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our dynamic team at Pride Health. As a Lab Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clinical lab operations, ensuring the smooth processing of biological specimens, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and sort clinical lab specimens efficiently.
- Prepare specimens for testing and analysis.
- Perform scanning and data entry of specimen and patient information.
- Ensure lab equipment is functioning properly and conduct minor maintenance as needed.
- Troubleshoot specimen-related issues as they arise.
- Replenish test bench supplies to maintain workflow.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Complete record logs and assist with administrative duties as required.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to uphold safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous medical/lab or production experience preferred.
- Comfortable handling biological specimens.
- Ability to accurately identify specimens.
- Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Must pass a standardized color blindness test.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
