Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Eligibility Specialist to join our team at Savista. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients receive the financial assistance they need to access quality healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen customers for financial assistance programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, and charity care
  • Conduct face-to-face and phone interviews to determine eligibility for financial assistance
  • Provide superior customer service to multiple clients and platforms
  • Use Savista's eligibility screening tool to determine customer eligibility for financial assistance programs
  • Facilitate the application process and direct customers to the appropriate next step
  • Collect and process upfront deposits or set up payment arrangements as required
  • Act as an advocate for customers and liaison between colleagues, clients, and government agencies
Requirements
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (or other languages)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service role, interacting directly with customers
  • Intermediate knowledge of patient access services and the revenue cycle
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with customers and simplifying complex information
  • Ability to handle escalated customer and client issues
  • Proven capability to think critically and drive successful solutions for client and/or patient concerns
Preferred Skills
  • Thorough understanding of commercial and government insurance plans, payer networks, government resources, and medical terminology
  • 2 years of experience working within financial counseling in a hospital, physician office, or home environment
  • Ability to navigate Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office
