Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Day Surgery to join our team at Doctors Hospital of Augusta. As a key member of our surgical team, you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing day surgery procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Assess and treat patients in the pre-operative phase, administering medications as needed
  • Organize supplies and equipment for surgical procedures
  • Engage in pre and intraoperative interventions, including vascular, neuro, spinal, thoracic, GI, GU, GYN, orthopedic, skeletal/muscular conditions and diseases
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing with an Associate degree or higher
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification
  • Minimum of 1 year previous experience in Perioperative Nursing
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment start date
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 1 year of employment start date
