Job Summary:

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with licensed staff to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing patients for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
  • Maintain a sterile environment during surgical procedures, adhering to strict infection control protocols
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures
  • Provide patient care and support, demonstrating a high level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher in Surgical Technology preferred
  • One year of experience as a Surgical Technologist, with a strong background in operating room procedures
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification also required
