Database Migration Specialist

Infosys is seeking a skilled Database Migration Specialist to join their team. This position will involve working with key stakeholders to apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. The successful candidate will play a key role in creating high-level design artifacts, delivering high-quality code deliverables, and leading validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interface with key stakeholders to apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Create high-level design artifacts and deliver high-quality code deliverables.
- Lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
- At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
- At least 2 years of Development experience on databases and data migration.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Analytical skills to identify root cause and come up with solutions/alternatives.
- Ability to work in a team environment and client interfacing skills.
- Participate in project review meetings with the client and provide regular updates to offshore.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. The successful candidate should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face-to-face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
