Position Overview
The Licensing Revenue Accountant plays a crucial role in ensuring that royalty reports and payments are executed with precision and punctuality.

This position entails the meticulous recording of royalty income and expenses within the general ledger, reconciling all accrued balances, and facilitating payments to licensors.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the intake and processing of new licensing agreements for the royalty team, including the scheduling and input of contractual payments.
- Assist in the preparation and entry of monthly accruals into the ERP system.
- Generate and process monthly and quarterly royalty statements and payments.
- Collaborate closely with external licensors on monthly and quarterly sales reports, online data submissions, and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Work alongside internal and external auditors to enhance and uphold SOX controls and documentation.
- Partner with the internal licensing department to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
- Aid in the setup of new contracts and the updating of existing contracts within contract management and royalty systems. Provide support to licensors and perform reconciliations as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate files and documentation in accordance with company policies and accepted accounting practices.
- Assist with various non-routine assignments and reports as required.

Qualifications
- An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in business, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Previous experience in royalty reporting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with contracts and contractual language is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to independently prioritize multiple tasks and complete projects in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively engage with internal and external partners.
- Experience working with auditors and SOX controls is a plus but not essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; adept at utilizing the internet to find solutions.
- Solid Excel skills – must be capable of organizing data, utilizing pivot tables, writing formulas, designing professional reports, and extracting data into Excel.
- Strong problem-solving abilities – must be able to identify issues and devise solutions while demonstrating attention to detail when working with large datasets and multiple parameters.

Work Environment
The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.
While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to manipulate objects, and communicate verbally.
