Position Overview: The Clinical Nursing Educator plays a crucial role in assessing the educational requirements of clinical personnel and developing training initiatives to meet those needs. This position emphasizes education in critical care environments, encompassing emergency, intensive care, and pediatric settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify the learning needs of nursing staff.
- Design and implement educational programs tailored to enhance clinical competencies.
- Facilitate training sessions both in classroom settings and on clinical units.
- Focus on critical care education, ensuring staff are well-prepared for emergency and intensive care situations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory; a Master's degree in a health-related field and experience in simulation training are preferred.
- A minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience is required.
- At least three years of experience in Critical Care nursing, specifically in emergency and intensive care environments.
- Possession of a valid RN license in the State of Vermont or eligibility for Vermont licensure.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required within the initial 90 days of employment.
- Certifications in TNCC and ENPC are preferred upon hire and required within one year.
- Specialty certification in emergency nursing, pediatric emergency nursing, or critical care nursing is mandatory.
