The Role

We're seeking an experienced AI Talent Acquisition Lead to join our team in San Francisco or Seoul. As a key member of our recruiting function, you'll play a critical role in building scalable processes, overseeing tools, and driving strategic initiatives such as employer branding, talent strategy, and operational excellence.

In this role, you will partner directly with the founding and executive team to align talent strategies with Twelve Labs' ambitious goals while ensuring the recruiting team is empowered to deliver on its objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Building and executing a recruiting strategy that aligns with Twelve Labs' growth goals, particularly in technical and AI-related roles.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing talent team, focusing on scalability, collaboration, and operational efficiency.
  • Owning the strategic direction for all recruiting tools and systems, including selecting, implementing, and optimizing platforms like ATS and CRM systems.
  • Partnering with leaders across the organization to understand hiring needs, prioritize roles, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Driving broad initiatives, including employer branding, talent analytics, and DEI strategies, to position Twelve Labs as a destination for world-class talent.
  • Defining and tracking recruiting KPIs, using data to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure accountability.

You will also personally manage full-cycle recruitment for key technical and leadership roles, focusing on AI, engineering, and other critical functions.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 7+ years of experience in talent acquisition, with at least 3 years in leadership and management roles.
  • Familiarity with international recruiting, particularly in the US and Korea.
  • A strong track record of scaling recruiting functions in high-growth, startup environments.
  • Experience working closely with executive and founding teams to align recruiting efforts with strategic goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to own and drive tooling decisions, including ATS and other recruitment platforms, from selection to optimization.
  • Exceptional data literacy, with the ability to define, track, and achieve key recruiting metrics.
  • Experience leading employer branding initiatives and building scalable hiring processes.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and elevate a team.
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring it's embedded in every aspect of talent acquisition.
