Job Description

As a Night Shift Maintenance Technician at Matalco, Inc., you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment. Your primary focus will be on installing, inspecting, adjusting, and repairing equipment while adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all maintenance functions, including preventative and predictive maintenance, to ensure equipment is properly serviced and has a long lifespan.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and safety concerns, resolving issues and minimizing downtime.
  • Monitor operations through PM checks to anticipate and prevent production losses due to equipment failure.
  • Report deviations, out-of-service equipment, or non-conforming operations to the maintenance team for correction or adjustment.
  • Maintain a spare parts warehouse to ensure crucial parts and components are readily available.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
  • High frequency of visual monitoring of production processes and quality defects.
  • Frequent data entry of necessary information and visual monitoring of HMI panels and PLC-driven panels.
  • Low frequency of hot metal work, confined space entry, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Low frequency of climbing over 4 feet and operating an overhead crane.
  • Wearing of company-provided Personal Protective Equipment as required.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Excellent understanding of preventative maintenance, math, reading, and blueprint reading skills.
  • Problem-solving skills essential for fixing production equipment and manufacturing system issues.
  • Computer knowledge preferred, capable of learning Windows/Web-based programs.
  • Must be a team player and capable of working with minimal supervision when required.

Pay Type: Hourly Min Hiring Rate: $25.00 Max Hiring Rate: $38.00
