Position Overview:

As a Retail Team Leader, you will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to guide team members in achieving sales targets through effective coaching, fostering a collaborative selling atmosphere, and ensuring operational excellence while serving as the acting manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Motivate the store team to reach their highest potential.
  • Implement strategies to enhance growth and performance.
  • Foster an inclusive and engaging store culture.
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences through operational efficiency.
  • Surpass customer expectations in every interaction.

Leadership Duties:

  • Collaborate with the management team to guide staff in meeting sales, service, and operational goals while acting as the manager on duty.
  • Exemplify company values and lead by example through active coaching.
  • Effectively communicate priorities and sales-driving information to empower store staff.
  • Assist in recruiting diverse store staff and promote an inclusive environment.

Performance Support:

  • Assist the management team in achieving business objectives, including sales and customer service goals.
  • Utilize store reports to inform decisions that drive business success.
  • Engage in business outreach initiatives and relay leads to the Store Manager.
  • Identify performance enhancement opportunities and collaborate with management on development plans.

Operational Excellence:

  • Work with management to ensure adequate staffing for executing initiatives and operational tasks.
  • Support the management team in training staff on internal operational functions.
  • Stay updated on corporate communications, directives, and policies.
  • Assist in implementing store programs aimed at improving sales, service, and operational efficiency.

Workplace Environment:

  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive store atmosphere where contributions are valued.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Serve as a role model for all team members, providing motivational leadership.
  • Partner with management to conduct regular meetings to keep the team informed.

Customer Experience Focus:

  • Help train the team on customer service standards to create outstanding customer experiences.
  • Utilize customer feedback to address and resolve concerns.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure the store meets visual merchandising standards.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience in retail or sales.
  • Creative thinker with sound judgment and business acumen.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and strategic in approach.
  • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated active listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record in training and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proficient in technology systems, Microsoft Office, and video conferencing tools.
  • Ability to operate a computer and POS system.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently bend, squat, twist, lift up to 50 lbs., and climb ladders to access merchandise.

Compensation:
Pay range is $18-21/hr based on experience.
