Lead Neurology Department

The University of Miami seeks a visionary leader to head its esteemed Neurology Department. As Professor and Chair, you will spearhead the development and implementation of strategic plans to enhance the department's clinical, academic, and research programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the advancement of clinical care through collaboration with other disciplines to translate research into progressive, patient-centered treatments.
  • Integrate and coordinate clinical services and programs among affiliated hospitals and clinics.
  • Prioritize a culture of inclusion, diversity, and equity, promoting cultural competence within the department and institution.
  • Mentor and develop faculty and staff to foster a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Provide strategic leadership for neurology services, including subspecialties, and recruit top-tier faculty and staff.
  • Ensure delivery of outstanding education and training, advancing the knowledge and professional growth of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Define and lead the department's research strategy to drive innovation in neurologic care and delivery.
Qualifications:
  • Board certification in Neurology and eligibility for licensure in Florida.
  • Distinguished record in research, teaching, clinical care, and administration.
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary setting, with demonstrated leadership and management competencies.
  • National recognition in Neurology, with strong clinical credibility and excellent communication skills.
