Job Summary

As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care and transportation to patients in need. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency medical care and transportation to patients in need
  • Operate an ambulance in a variety of conditions, including emergency situations
  • Participate in the care and upkeep of equipment, including ambulances and life support equipment
  • Perform medical and non-medical transfers, as needed
  • Make presentations to schools, civic groups, and public safety agencies, as required
  • Complete reports and forms associated with patient care
  • Testify in court, as needed
  • Attend training sessions and maintain all required certifications
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be a Florida certified Paramedic
  • Requires certification in CPR and ACLS
  • EVOC certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have a good driving record
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a fast-paced environment, often under stressful conditions. The successful candidate must be able to work well under pressure and have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
