We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Machesney Park, IL location. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our Cold Heading and Thread Rolling Machines.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect machinery to diagnose malfunctions and repair or replace defective equipment as necessary.
- Test and repair malfunctioning production equipment and notify appropriate personnel.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including machinery, cranes, and forklifts.
- Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools, welders, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
- Advanced knowledge of milling machines, brake presses, drill presses, and general machine shop equipment.
- Test water supply daily and maintain waste water treatment equipment and process.
- Repair machinery, including lathes, mills, drill presses, and other tools as required.
- Maintain current knowledge and actively address safety and environmental issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 3-5+ years of maintenance experience.
- Associates degree from a technical college preferred.
- Apprenticeship or journeyman experience preferred.
- Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations.
- Forklift truck experience required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to complete routine production and quality reports.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Understanding and compliance with safety rules and regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
