The Spruce Foundation is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join its Board of Directors. As a volunteer board member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organization's future and contributing to its mission of empowering emerging leaders in Greater Philadelphia.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of nonprofit leadership and management, with experience in grant-making, fundraising, and community development. They will also be able to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging.

Responsibilities will include attending monthly board meetings, participating in committee work, and contributing to the organization's fundraising efforts. The board member will also be expected to serve as an ambassador for the Spruce Foundation, promoting its mission and values to their networks.

Core competencies sought include nonprofit leadership/management, grant-making, fundraising and development, marketing and communications, community/social impact, event planning, strategic planning, operations, finance, and legal compliance.
