With a legacy of 70 years, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care through our 911 emergency transport, non-emergency transport, and paratransit services across 19 municipalities. Our commitment to quality service is reflected in our comprehensive operations, which include 21 ambulances, 2 Quick Response Service units, and a fleet of 20 Paratransit vehicles, supported by over 140 dedicated staff members.

Position Overview:
We are seeking full-time and part-time Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs) to enhance our operations. We offer flexible shifts, including both day and night opportunities, across our multiple stations in Northampton and Monroe Counties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Administer Basic and Advanced Life Support to patients in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Evaluate the nature and severity of injuries or illnesses to determine appropriate medical interventions.
  • Ensure patient privacy is maintained in compliance with established policies and legal requirements.
  • Provide treatment to patients at the scene and during transport, adhering to established protocols.
  • Utilize proper rescue techniques to extricate victims from hazardous situations.
  • Communicate effectively with medical personnel and facilities to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor while managing the scene to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly, in line with regulatory standards.
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Participate in training and educational initiatives for staff and the community.
  • Respond promptly to dispatcher instructions and operate emergency vehicles safely.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • State of Pennsylvania Advanced EMT certification
  • CPR certification for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent
  • Continuing medical education credits as required by the State EMS office
  • EMSVO certification
  • Hazardous Materials R&I certification
  • NIMS 100, 200, and 700 certifications
  • A valid driver's license
