Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Norman Regional Hospital. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing life-support systems, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of critically ill patients, identify potential risks, and develop individualized care plans to address their unique needs.
  • Life-Support Management: Monitor and manage life-support systems, including ventilation, heart monitoring, and medications, to ensure patients receive the best possible care.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving: Utilize critical thinking skills to rapidly assess situations, prioritize tasks, and make informed decisions to ensure patient safety and well-being.
Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in healthcare, preferably in critical care, is highly desirable.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or active Multistate RN license required; Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining required during orientation; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training or retraining required within 6 months of hire.
  • Skill and Abilities: ICU RN required classes, including basic arrhythmia, basic 12 lead, advance 12 lead, hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, basic pacemaker, PIRRT, and Arctic Sun, within 12 months of hire; ICU RN will be required to obtain and maintain critical care competencies as designated by The Joint Commission and/or Nurse Manager.
Benefits and Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $27.84-$45.46/hour based on previous work experience, plus benefits that include medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, retirement plans, free parking, and opportunities for advancement. Additionally, we offer a $3/hour Night Shift Differential and $3/hour Weekend Shift Differential.
