Position: Extended School Program (ESP) Assistant

Part-Time Opportunity

The Extended School Program (ESP) Assistant plays a vital role in the daily management of the program, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the maintenance of daily attendance records.
  2. Assist in the organization and distribution of snacks and meals.
  3. Facilitate the drop-off and pick-up process for parents and guardians.
  4. Perform clerical duties as required.
  5. Plan and organize various activities for students.
  6. Help coordinate field trips and special events.
  7. Act as the primary source of information for substitutes in the absence of the regular assistant.
  8. Notify the supervisor of any issues or important information regarding individual students.
  9. Uphold a high standard of ethical behavior and confidentiality concerning student and personnel information.
  10. Prepare for assigned groups and provide written evidence of preparation when requested by the supervisor.
  11. Supervise all students at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
  12. Participate in in-service training programs as assigned.
  13. Take necessary precautions to safeguard students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  14. Maintain accurate records as mandated by law and administrative regulations.
Additional Duties:
  1. Assist administration in enforcing policies and rules governing student conduct.
  2. Develop reasonable behavior guidelines and maintain order in a fair manner.
  3. Conduct conferences with students, parents, and staff as necessary.
  4. Strive for continuous professional development and improvement.
  5. Attend staff meetings and participate in committees as required.
  6. Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by administrative personnel.
