Part-Time Opportunity
The Extended School Program (ESP) Assistant plays a vital role in the daily management of the program, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the maintenance of daily attendance records.
- Assist in the organization and distribution of snacks and meals.
- Facilitate the drop-off and pick-up process for parents and guardians.
- Perform clerical duties as required.
- Plan and organize various activities for students.
- Help coordinate field trips and special events.
- Act as the primary source of information for substitutes in the absence of the regular assistant.
- Notify the supervisor of any issues or important information regarding individual students.
- Uphold a high standard of ethical behavior and confidentiality concerning student and personnel information.
- Prepare for assigned groups and provide written evidence of preparation when requested by the supervisor.
- Supervise all students at all times to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Participate in in-service training programs as assigned.
- Take necessary precautions to safeguard students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain accurate records as mandated by law and administrative regulations.
- Assist administration in enforcing policies and rules governing student conduct.
- Develop reasonable behavior guidelines and maintain order in a fair manner.
- Conduct conferences with students, parents, and staff as necessary.
- Strive for continuous professional development and improvement.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in committees as required.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned by administrative personnel.
