About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant - Cash Flow Specialist to join our team at Cummins-Wagner Co Inc in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. This is a full-time position that reports to the Credit & Collections Supervisor.

Job Overview

The Financial Accountant - Cash Flow Specialist will play a critical role in managing customer accounts receivable and ensuring timely cash flow. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to toggle between projects and responsibilities with ease.

This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and a strong attention to detail. The successful candidate will be able to work well in a team environment and demonstrate a customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain customer aging records and work with customers and sales staff to resolve outstanding balances.
  • Manage collections efforts with General Auditing Bureau and Receivables Control Corporation.
  • Credit evaluation and order release.
  • Process and document daily checks, ACH payments, wire transfers, and credit card payments.
  • Statement processing monthly.
  • Customer setup and account maintenance, including credit references, vendor information, W-9s, contact name and address changes, etc.
  • Customer service, resolving account disputes, processing debit and credit memos, reviewing lien releases, following up on returned checks or credit card denials, etc.
  • Process manual and online billing.
Requirements
  • Possess an Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Program.
  • Minimum of two years experience in A/R credit and collections or data entry.
  • Superior communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Goal-oriented behaviors and time management principles.
  • Customer-focused attitude.
  • Extensive attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Estimated Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience.
