We are seeking a skilled Radiation Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our Radiation Oncology department.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver and manage patient care from admission to discharge, tailored to the developmental age of the patient population.
- Perform patient assessment and reassessment according to standard procedure.
- Develop and coordinate individual plans of care, including discharge planning.
- Direct, supervise, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care within assigned clinical settings.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to others in accordance with job description and competency level.
- Current Massachusetts Nursing licensure and registration.
- BLS is a requirement for every RN, unless advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification is current, in addition to any unit-specific certifications and competencies.
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
- Radiation Oncology/Oncology experience.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
- OCN certification.
