The Finishing Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Finishing activities, including staging, shipping, and receiving. This role requires a strong focus on quality and safety, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Main Responsibilities- Operational Excellence: Ensure that all Finishing operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company quality systems and GMPs.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, including receiving and inspecting goods, verifying documentation, and performing cycle counts as required.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products, including pre-staging outbound loads and inspecting and loading trucks.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete documentation, including work orders, inventory records, and quality control reports.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors, drivers, and other team members to ensure seamless operations and achieve departmental goals.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Preferred Qualifications: Completion of the Petrochemical Class at JJC or relative years' experience, basic math skills.
This is a union hourly position, working 12-hour shifts, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, with every other weekend and holidays as scheduled. The hourly rate is $24.78, with an eligible increase of $0.50 once trained and qualified as a spotter.
