Job Summary:

As a Fire Safety Specialist with Global Medical Response, you will be responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires, rescuing persons endangered by structural fires, and preventing fire by reducing or eliminating potential fire hazards. You will also respond to and provide assistance for medical aid calls, vehicle accidents, and Hazmat incidents.

Responsibilities:

Respond to fires with your team in a timely, safe, and skilled manner.
Participate in control of fires through hose and nozzle work, use of hand tools, or a combination of these methods.
Administer first aid to injured parties at your appropriate level of training.
Safely operate Company vehicles and equipment as directed.
Assist in the maintenance of fire and rescue apparatus, tools, and equipment.

Requirements:

Valid Driver's License.
Must possess IL OSFM Basic Operations Firefighter (BOF) or IL OSFM Firefighter II with Hazmat Ops or Military Fire Fighter Equivalent.
Must possess Illinois EMT-B or higher EMS certification.
Must possess CPR/AED credentials.
Completion of NIMS ICS-100, 200, 700, and 800 at time of hire.
Must obtain and maintain a Transportation Security Administration's "Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) card.
