About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Developmental Services of Dickson County. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily living tasks, in their home and in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance and support to individuals in activities of daily living, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Recognize and support individuals' community involvement, social interactions, and the maintenance of relationships.
  • Provide opportunities for individuals to make choices and exercise their autonomy.
  • Respect and advocate for the rights of individuals supported.
  • Treat all individuals supported, families, coworkers, and supervisors with dignity and respect.
  • Provide transportation for individuals to access the community.
  • Exhibit professionalism in the job and maintain confidentiality of records/information according to HIPAA, State, Federal laws and guidelines.
Requirements
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass mandatory drug screen and physical examination.
  • Pass a criminal history and personal background checks.
  • Requires basic language, written, and computer skills necessary for communication and documentation.
  • Valid driver's license for at least 3 years, acceptable driving history, and proof of auto insurance (if required to drive).
Compensation

Hourly wage: $15.00-$20.25 per hour. Opportunities for growth and development within the organization.
