Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
  • Assess patient needs and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition
  • Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
  • Evaluate respiratory practice and treatment based on patient outcome
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and provide information about community support groups
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner certification from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program
  • Respiratory Therapist certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
